Notice Regarding the Introduction of Accommodation Tax in Okinawa Prefecture and Ishigaki City (Effective February 1, 2027)

Effective February 1, 2027 (Monday), a lodging tax will be introduced in Okinawa Prefecture and Ishigaki City. Therefore, we ask for your understanding as we will be charging a separate lodging tax as detailed below.

[Regarding Accommodation Tax]

Tax rate: 2% of the accommodation fee per person per night* (excluding tax) <Maximum tax amount: 2,000 yen> *Accommodation fee refers to the room-only rate per person per night, excluding meals and consumption tax, plus any applicable service charges.

Even for reservations made through a travel agency, payment is generally made on-site, however, the payment method may differ depending on the terms of the travel agency's contract.
